Siege

We were surrounded.  There were legions of soldiers surrounding our house in Washington.  We had some friends over to help us out, one of which was one of my coworkers in West Virginia (Let's call him Jim for now).  The evil general had set up in the club house, and they were sending over hostages they would try to use to get us to come out of the house.  Every time one got close to the house, we would open up the glass rolling door, kill a few soldiers, and get the hostage inside to safety.

The last hostage was on it's way, and they were getting ready for a real attack.  We knew it was the last hostage, because they would bring the hostages out by the pool before they brought them up.  As they drew near, we readied ourselves to  open the door to let the hostage in.  It was me and Jim leading the charge.  As they came up the porch stairs, Jim charged out, and started raging on them.  The tried to fire a barrage of arrows into the house, but I threw up a shield just in time.  I kept my shield up, keeping the soldiers from getting into the house, until Jim had the hostage close enough.  I let the shield fade as he got closer, pushing the rest of the soldiers still on the porch off with a wave of my hand, and slammed the door shut after them.

It was getting dark, and it looked like the soldiers were going to give it a rest for the night, so we came together for quick meeting.
"The fight has gone out of them,"  Jim said
"Let me go down and talk to their leader, I will get them to leave."

I was very suspicious, and tried to convince the others it was a bad idea, but he was allowed to go anyways.  I decided I would follow him, to make sure he was legitimate.

He left the house at about 10, through the porch door.  I phased out after him, careful to keep myself invisible the whole way there.  He managed to get to the clubhouse unseen, and knocked on the door.  The door opened, and the let him in with seemingly no words exchanged.  I followed him in, slipping in as the door slid shut.

Just inside was the general!  I got angry, and threw a fireball at him, but it seemed to go right through him.  His clothes were burning, and the man behind him fell dead, but he seemed untouched.  He whirled around, looking for the culprit, but I was well and truly invisible.  They decided it wasn't much of a threat, and carried on in their dealings.  I had seen all that I needed to see, and started to creep away.

I was walking through the walls away from the main room, and I happened upon a girl.  She was very pretty, and had brown hair with a gentle curl.  She was scrubbing the floor, obviously one of the hostages they had kept around to do the cleaning.  I took pity on this girl, and absorbed her into myself, so that I could take her to safety.  We flew together, over the two fences, and into our yard.  As I phased through the cellar door, I let her out again.  I walked back to my room, where Julie was sleeping, sick.  As I returned to my bed, and started making it, she woke up, and asked where I had been.  I told her I had gone to John's house.
"I don't believe you," She said.
"Where else would I have gone?"  I replied.
