The Underling

I was in a cave.  Not really a normal cave, more of a mine. There were no visible entrances or exits, besides five round holes in the floor, each with a ladder coming out of them.  The two closest to me seemed well used, and rather worn, but the last three were a little dusty.  I choose the third, and went down.  When I came back up, I found myself in a large cavern, mostly empty, but for one small child working furtively. She notice me, and looked up.
"Where did you come from?" she asked.
"Up above.  Do you want to go with me?  You can be free."
"I don't know...  I'm not supposed to leave..."
"I just want to explore.  You don't have to leave the caves, if you don't want to."
"Where are you going?"
"I was going to try the fourth ladder next, if you want to come with me."
"But that ladder is forbidden!  I'm only allowed to use the first two... We'll get caught!"
"It's ok, I'm with you now.  They would only notice me.  You'll be fine."
So we descended down the fourth ladder.  When we came back up, we found ourselves right outside of a large office door.  Sounds of an argument were coming through the door.  Suddenly, it opened.  the girl and I huddled in a corner, trying not to be seen.  Out of the door came two flaming creatures, one in the shape of a man, and the other looked more like a balrog.  Flames were flying between the two, and it seamed as if the very air was on fire.
"I'm not working for you anymore.  Not even you can stop me from leaving."
"You're right, I can't kill you, but you still have the fire of the lake in you..."
With that, the balrog clenched his fist, and a stream of rock fell out of the flaming man.  He cringed, and ran over to the fifth hole, and descended the ladder.  The Balrog followed.  The child and I ran over as well, and when we got there and looked in, we saw an open book, with a key hovering over it.  Ron Weasley was talking, saying the key was either first or last.  I said it was last, and he said I was right.
"Do you have anymore questions?" he asked.
With that, the child shut the book, we grabbed the key, and headed down the tunnel.  When we came back up, there was a locked door, that the key fit perfectly into.  We opened it, and ran out onto a huge ledge, overlooking a massive lake.  On the edge of the cliff, there was a metal bar that ran out about ten feet over the edge.  The flaming man was standing on the bar, and the balrog was about to charge him.  I saw that the bar was going to collapse, so I held it up with my mind.  The balrog charged, but over shot the man, plunging over the cliff.  Before he hit the water, though, he caught the edge of the metal bar with his whip, hanging by it.  The flaming man ran back to the cliff edge, and as he leaped to safety, I let the bar go, and the balrog fell into the water. Safe at last, we all left the caves, never to return again.

Fireworks

I was with a bunch of IV people at someones house, staying the night there.  We stayed up super, late, I remember thinking, because it was almost five in the morning.  I looked outside, and saw solar wind hitting the sky, not like the aurora borealis, but something different, more like tons of tiny sparks exploding.  All around the house, for some reason, people were setting off fireworks, so it was really hard to see what was going on in the night sky.  I gave up trying to see, and noticed that there was a piano on the porch, so I went out to play on it.  Before I got to the piano, two dogs ran up to me, so I petted them for a while.  After a time, I went to the piano and started a piece, but the owner of the house, a woman, came out. She asked if she had woken us.  Apparently she normally gets up around five, and was trying not to wake us, not realizing most of us were still awake.  I said no, and that I was already awake, and she smiled.
